Welcome to Knots Landed (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

 

1. Products & Services

Knots Landed offers:

  • Handmade physical crochet goods, including made-to-order and custom items.
  • Digital products such as crochet patterns and downloadable files.

Due to the handmade nature of our products, each piece may vary slightly from photos or measurements shown online. These variations are normal and do not qualify as defects.

2. Pricing & Currency

Prices are displayed primarily in Canadian. Where possible, prices will be displayed in preferred currencies.

Buyers are responsible for all applicable:

  • Taxes
  • Customs duties
  • Import fees
  • Currency conversion charges

Prices may change at any time without notice.

3. Orders

Orders are considered accepted once payment has been successfully processed.

Knots Landed reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order, including in cases of:

  • Product availability issues
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Shipping restrictions
4. Processing & Shipping

Production Times

All physical items are handmade to order unless stated otherwise.

Average production timeframe:
4 weeks prior to shipping, unless otherwise noted on the product page.
(Custom or complex orders may take longer.)

Shipping Estimates

Delivery time once shipped is estimated as 5-10 days dependent on shipping location. Transit delays may occur due to:

  • Customs processing for international orders
  • Postal delays
  • Weather disruptions

Once your order is shipped, Knots Landed is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers.

Shipping Responsibility

  • Customers must ensure shipping addresses are accurate.
  • Knots Landed is not responsible for packages sent to incorrect addresses provided at checkout.
  • Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, loss or damage is outside our control; however, we will assist with carrier claims when possible.
5. Digital Downloads

Purchase of any Knots Landed digital pattern grants you a limited commercial license to create and sell finished handmade items made from the pattern under the following conditions:

✅ You may sell physical products made from the pattern.

❌ You may NOT copy, share, resell, distribute, or publish the pattern file or instructions in any form.

✅ You must credit Knots Landed as the pattern designer in product listings, descriptions, or tags where reasonably visible.

✅ You must use your own photographs for all listings and marketing — use of Knots Landed photography or images is not permitted.

❌ You may not mass-produce items or manufacture using third-party production facilities.

❌ You may not teach classes, create video tutorials, or publish derivative patterns based on this design without written permission from Knots Landed.

6. Returns & Refunds

Physical Products (Non-Custom)

We accept returns for non-custom physical items only under the following conditions:

  • Return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery
  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition
  • Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds are issued after items are received and inspected.

Custom & Personalized Products

All custom-made or personalized items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide clear photos showing the issue

We may offer a replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion.

Digital Products

Because digital files cannot be returned, all digital sales are final and non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property

All photos, designs, crochet patterns, product descriptions, website content, branding, and digital files are the intellectual property of Knots Landed and protected under Canadian copyright law.

You may not reproduce, resell, distribute, or use any content commercially without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Knots Landed is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Liability for any claim will not exceed the purchase price of the affected product.

Use of any product or website content is at your own risk.

9. International Orders

By purchasing from outside Canada, you acknowledge:

  • Customs duties, VAT, or import charges may apply
  • Knots Landed is not responsible for refused, held, or seized shipments
  • Delivery times vary significantly based on location and customs processing
10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada without regard to conflict of law principles.
